Spring Hill Membership
Memberships like yours help keep us up and running. Membership dollars provide unrestricted operational support, which makes up a quarter of our annual budget. This allows us to keep this 200-year-old home open to the public, and to preserve the history of the Rotch-Wales families and the local Underground Railroad.
Memberships allow us to educate students and community members through tours and events each the year. The more support we have from the community, the more we can do for the community.
Spring Hill Historic Home was built by the Rotch family and was a known safe house along the Ohio Underground Railroad. Later, three generations of the Wales family also called Spring Hill home. Spring Hill’s legacy touches many aspects of our country’s history, such as abolition, the world wars, education and diplomacy. The legacy of the Rotch-Wales families are kept alive at Spring Hill through tours and events, as well as the preservation of the artifacts, house and grounds. By becoming part of our family, you can enjoy many great benefits, but ultimately take pleasure in knowing that you played a part in preserving Spring Hill and making sure this piece of Massillon history is here for future generations.

As a member of Spring Hill, you will enjoy: Free admission for tours throughout the event season, periodic e-newsletters, reduced rental rates, admittance to the annual meeting, early event registration, and admission to members-only events like the Easter Egg Hunt and Holiday Party. Most membership levels also receive complimentary guest passes to share with your family and friends to involve more of the community in Spring Hill.
